Call (562) 760-5462 for the next service date and to put your machine on the list. Dates are posted on the calendar when they are set.
How service days work
On a service day the technician works at the shop. You bring the machine, describe what it is doing, and it gets looked at here rather than shipped away.
Cleaning, tension and timing are the usual requests. Ask about anything else when you call and we will find out whether it can be handled on the day.
There is no pressure to trade up. The goal is the machine you have, running.
Before you bring it in
Bring the power cord, foot pedal, a bobbin case and the presser foot you use most. If the machine came with a manual, bring that too.
Write down what it does and when: skipping stitches on a certain fabric, a noise that started after a jam, a thread nest underneath. The more exact the description, the faster the diagnosis.
Clean the lint you can reach first. A surprising number of problems are a bobbin area full of fuzz, and you will be told so honestly.
When it is the settings, not the machine
Sometimes the machine is fine and the settings are not. For that we book a paid training session, one-on-one or in a small group, on any brand: threading, tension, needles and the stitches you actually use. Book one through the Sewing Machine Training page.
We also keep the needles, bobbins and feet that fix the small things, so a service visit can end with the right supplies in the bag.
