Quilters drive to us from Seal Beach, Long Beach, Cypress, Huntington Beach, Lakewood, and across Orange County. Most of them arrive the same way: they went looking for a shop that still cuts fabric by the yard.
We are not a craft chain. There is one location, the owner is usually the person who answers the phone, and the selection is chosen rather than shipped to us by a planogram.
What is on the bolt
We carry quilting cotton by the yard from Hoffman, Riley Blake, Henry Glass, Maywood, and Poppie Cotton, along with Kimberbell fabrics and Shannon Cuddle for backings.
The basics are here in depth rather than in token amounts: Hoffman 1895 Watercolors in 293 colors, Kona solids, Fairy Frost, and Country Confetti dots — for when a pattern calls for one exact shade and nothing else will do.
Cuts are made on the table while you wait. If you want a quarter yard, you get a quarter yard.
Kits, thread, and the things you forget to buy
Our quilt kits include lines built from rare and out-of-print fabric. On those, we cut pieces close to the size the pattern actually uses, so the last of a scarce bolt makes kits for more quilters — and every one of those kits says so on its page before you buy.
We stock over 400 colors of Isacord embroidery thread, the wall customers mention most, plus the notions, needles, batting, and interfacing a project stalls without.
Classes run in person and on Zoom, for beginners and for quilters who want to try a technique before committing a whole quilt to it.

You will find us at 4446 Cerritos Ave in Los Alamitos, open Wednesday through Friday from 11 to 3 and Saturday from 11 to 2. Other hours are often available by appointment.
