New Classes on the Calendar for Summer and Fall 2026

We just added a fresh round of classes to the calendar, and there is a lot to look forward to between now and the end of the year. Whether you are drawn to fabric collage, quilting, or finally making that project you have been thinking about, one of these might be exactly what you need.

Here is what is new.

Patti D. Pumpkin Collage — "Wild Harvest"

Part 1: Saturday, August 1, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · $75
Part 2: Saturday, August 8, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · included

This is a two-part fabric collage class with Patti Dubreuil of Patti D Designs. You will work with raw-edge appliqué techniques to layer vibrant autumn prints and build a beautiful, dimensional pumpkin pillow — the kind of thing that comes out every fall and gets better looking every year.

Patti has a gift for making collage feel approachable. She guides students through fabric placement, layering, and construction in a way that feels creative rather than stressful. You do not need to be an experienced quilter to enjoy this class. You just need to like autumn and enjoy working with fabric.

Part 1 registration covers both sessions. Seats are limited.

Create Your Own Svana Quilt — Featuring GE Designs Stripology

Dates: Coming soon — dates to be announced
Part 1: $70 · Part 2 included

This two-part quilt class is built around the GE Designs Stripology ruler collection, which makes cutting and assembling the Svana quilt pattern far faster and more accurate than traditional methods. If you have been curious about the Stripology rulers but have not had a chance to try them, this class is a great way to learn with guided instruction.

Patti D. Cornucopia Collage

Part 1: Saturday, September 26, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · $75
Part 2: Saturday, October 3, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · included

Another two-part collage class from Patti D., this time with a harvest cornucopia theme that is perfect for the fall season. The Cornucopia Collage uses the same fabric collage approach Patti is known for — layering prints, working with texture, and building something that looks far more complex than the technique requires.

If you took the Pumpkin Collage class earlier in the summer, this is a natural follow-on. If this will be your first time working with Patti, it is a wonderful introduction to her style and a great way to finish something before the holidays.

Patti D. Tuffet Class

Part 1: Saturday, October 10, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · $75
Part 2: Saturday, November 7, 2026 · 10 am – 4 pm · included

Tuffets are one of those projects that always draws a crowd when people see them in a shop. They look complicated. They look like something that takes years of skill. They are not. With Patti guiding you through the process, this class breaks down the construction into manageable steps and gives you the time and support to finish with confidence.

If you have ever wanted to make a tuffet but kept putting it off, October and November is your window. Part 1 gets you started, and Part 2 gives you the time to finish and troubleshoot before the holiday season is in full swing.

All classes are held at Be Sew Bizzy, 4446 W. Cerritos Ave, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Seats are limited for each class, and Patti D. classes tend to fill. If you have been waiting to try one of her projects, this is the season to do it.
